If we ever try to get into a giant space battle with alien enemies, all they have to do is insert a few directories or filenames with whitespaces in them into some of our filesystems, and everything will tank.

I cannot remotely begin to express how much of an indictment of everything and everybody who ever had anything to do with computers the whole whitespace handling thing is.
