history rhymes with "gulag"

The shorthand to igniting a protest is: fear to anger to leadership to action. In other words, a fearful person often becomes an angry person demanding quick action that is provided through exploitative leadership.

> How many edge cases does this payment flow actually have? Hundreds. How many of them have we handled? Twelve. Do we want to see the other ones listed explicitly in a graph, staring back at us? Absolutely not. That would make the gap between what we've built and what we need undeniable, and denial is how we get through the day.

seems like most computer systems are nigh the enemy of accessibility.
like, it is one thing to not support ARIA types of things: sins of omission.
but then there's the crap somebody had to actively pursue, had to work hard to implement, that is just evil and dumb and anti-user. things like a user interface that has icons with no labels, and then has heavily animated hover tooltips.

hilarious consequences
ecommerce is a fail. even amazon sucks, except for all others. but hotels really take the ux fail cake.
all is full of fail
tcl roku tv playing amazon prime video app.
if i ffwd at all, it cannot resume successfully. been this way for months.
(of course all after suffering through ads rando all the time.)
and if i go "back" it loses the scroll position in the list so i can't easily try to play the same item again?!?!
what a living ux hell. it makes me so frustrated that these are our main options for streaming. i mean, modt-all other suck even worse in other rando ways.

the inflight entertainment app is ux dog poop.
the fact that nobody checks bags now so deplaning takes 10x longer really sucks.
oh and lining up to board is still a mini hunger games.
and it feels like they shrank the legroom by an inch again.
infotainment
dunno about the 2026 models, but 2023-and-on Toyota infotainment UX is just complete GARBAGE from any kind of self-respecting UX perspective.

litany of complaints
i thought only jerky web page designers did low-contrast foreground text vs. background color. but i have come across books with ink that was not really sufficiently dark. maybe they just cheaped out on printing? "The PEN / O. Henry Prize Stories 2010".
